Amanda & Dean
It was a gorgeous warm late spring evening when I was heading out to shoot Amanda and Dean’s engagement photos at Holland Marsh Wineries. I was so excited to see these two again – we had met up twice back in the fall to talk about their wedding plans and what they were looking for regarding their big day. Even during those little coffee dates, I had an awesome time chatting with them, so I just knew that this shoot was going to be a blast! And dangg, these two were on fire! Seriously, talk about making my job easy. Every time before I even suggested what to do or where to stand, I swear they were reading my mind and always knew EXACTLY what to do for the perfect shot. What a fun hour of shooting!
Oh and if you’re wondering about what this beautiful location of Holland Marsh Wineries was like to shoot at for engagement or wedding photos, I recommend it so highly. It’s got this really relaxed, harmonious, vineyard charm to the whole place, and a few neat historic and vintage props sprinkled throughout as well. This spot was actually one of Amanda and Dean’s choices for their wedding venue, with them ultimately deciding on The Manor in Kettleby for the big day in September. And I can’t believe that’s just three months away now.
I feel like the combination of Holland Marsh Wineries for their engagement photos and then The Manor for their wedding day is such a perfect combo for these guys. This shoot has gotten me even more excited for September 6th to roll around! And I think it’s also spurred this huge love of shooting in vineyards and indulging in the immense charm they offer for a setting.
