Stephanie & Andrew
Capturing Stephanie and Andrew’s Distillery District Archeo Wedding was pretty much every photographer’s dream come true. These guys put so much effort and thought into not only everything about their day but also everything about how the photos would look at the end of it all, which is such an amazing mindset to have when planning all the details of your wedding.
Stephanie has such awesome visual thinking and she found the most perfect getting ready locations for each side. The girls got ready in the Ivy at Verity, a very very pretty boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Toronto. Their room was filled with so much fantastic natural light for the photos and beautiful vintage, feminine charm that fit her and the girls so well!
The boys got ready at The Omni King Edward Hotel. Man, I love this spot for wedding photos. And their modern and masculine room matched the grey tones of their suits like they were made for each other. Again there was tons of natural light in the room too which I always appreciate so much!
Then we headed over to the Distillery District for their wedding at Archeo. They had their first look right at the main gates before we all did some fun wedding party shots outside against the historic red bricks. They first had a short private ceremony inside Archeo before doing their larger ceremony outside in front of all their guests. The florals by Wild Vogel Works were out of this world stunning! And I’d say Stephanie and Andrew’s first kiss was one of my favourite moments of the day, most epic first kiss ever.
I couldn’t get enough of doing portraits across the Distillery with these two afterwards. Soooo many photo opportunities everywhere. I loved capturing all the intricate details of Stephanie’s Made with Love Bridal dress (fitted by Made by Anatomy) in a bunch of the shots too. So many pretty details surrounding us at every glance during this whole day.
Archeo is something truly special. It’s a wedding venue that has so much texture and beauty in every corner and such neat ambient lighting everywhere that you basically can’t go wrong with shooting from any inch of the place. It’s unique and urban and quintessentially “Distillery District.” I really hope to shoot here more in the future!
There were so many opportunities to get creative throughout Stephanie & Andrew’s day and I couldn’t even dream of a more amazing couple to share it all with. We even got to sneak out for a few night time portraits after dinner. What an extraordinary day. Can’t thank these two enough for trusting me to capture all of its beauty <3 Congratulations Stephanie & Andrew!!!!!
