Adrienne & Nigel
On the first weekend of July I drove over to Stratford to photograph Adrienne and Nigel’s awesome big day. They got ready in their own neighbourhood in Stratford and then had their wedding ceremony at the beautiful Ellis Chapel in Cambridge, after which we all headed back over to their place for a gorgeous intimate backyard reception. (oh and btw if you’re looking for a positively charming getting ready location in Stratford, check out Hatfield House!)
This day was truly one of the best days all around that I’ve ever photographed! Adrienne and Nigel were pretty much total rockstars and one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. They even gave me two extra pieces of cake to take home at the end of the night, whaaaattt?!! So awesome. Their backyard reception was the perfect way to celebrate their love, and their day had so many cool little details that fit them so well. Like cute packets of wildflower seeds as wedding favours and glowy sticks and rings for the dance party. They even hired a caricaturist to draw photos of guests at the reception, which was a smash hit with everyone there.
The intimate and historic Ellis Chapel was also the most perfect fit for their wedding ceremony. They lined the aisle with wildflower arrangements to match Adrienne’s bouquet and they also had a fiddler playing all the tunes for the ceremony, which was amazing. And as a photographer, I adored all the natural light that poured in from all sides of Ellis Chapel as well as the convenience of having a beautiful backdrop for family photos right outside the door!
A bit of a downpour hit when we were in the middle of bride and groom portraits (ahhh summer weather) so we took advantage of that time by taking a few shots inside the chapel before heading back to Stratford where we snuck in some more bride and groom shots at an adorable little roundabout that these two suggested.
All in all, this day was so fun I wish I could go back to it haha A million bajillion thanks to Adrienne and Nigel for trusting me to capture these memories for them and for being so welcoming. Congratulations you two!!!
